Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their Christmas Show & Sale of Dairy cattle in Dumfries on Wednesday 14th December 2009, kindly sponsored by Genus.

54 Dairy Cattle Forward – The Judge Mr James Howie, Muirside Dumfries awarded the Championship to Messrs M Young & Sons, Waterside Mains, Thornhill who had an outstanding Freshly Calved Holstein Friesian Heifer in Milk which sold for £2400 to Messrs Fisher, Cruggleton.

The Reserve Champion also a Fresh Calved Holstein Friesian Heifer from Mr A Goldie, Longbridgemuir, Dumfries sold for £2300.
