had forward 4,188 breeding ewes, shearlings and ewe lambs at
their special sale at Longtown on Tuesday 28th September 2004.
A very good show of breeding sheep attracted a very large company
of buyers from a wide area, with trade the best of the season.
Top of £81 for Charollais cross shearlings from Aimshaugh,
who also sold Suffolk crosses at £74 and £73; Texel
cross £78 Low Longlands, £73 & £72 Glencartholm;
Greyface £78 & £72 the Hagg (Shearing), £76
Leapsrigg, £74 Kilncroft and Loch House, £70 Clonrae
and Loch House; Cheviot Mule £76 Priesthaugh; Lleyn £50
