The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their weekly sale of primestock in Dumfries on Wednesday 19th May 2010.

57 prime cattle – trade in keeping with the national trend was easier as both wholesalers and butchers report slow sales.

Heifers (all heavyweight) – Limousin to 176.5p from D & R Cornthwaite, Balgray Hill to Messrs Fraser, Butchers, Stranraer. 174.5p Woodfield to R Johnstone & Sons, Butchers, Annan, 171.5p Upper Tinwald to Messrs Fraser, 170.5p Balgray Hill to Border Meats, Lockerbie.
Top gross heifer £1098.88 Marwhirn.

Bullocks – Limousin 163.5p, 161.5p Newmains to Border Meats and C Anderson.
