| WORKING COLLIE DOG SALE |
Cumberland & Dumfriesshire held their 4th sale of working collies
and puppies at The Hammerlands Centre, Moffat on Saturday 20th September
2008 when they had a catalogued entry of 50 working dogs and 12 pups.
A dreich Saturday in Moffat did not deter the usual large attendance
of buyers from throughout the UK and Ireland classier collies met spirited
demand whilst poorer sorts were harder to sell.
Top price of the day was paid 2100 gns to JM Maclachlan, Spean Bridge
for ‘June’ a tricolour 3yo bitch purchasers being M/S Nicholson,
Cullivoe, Yell, Shetland Isles
